Christina is a freelance singer and professional voice and piano teacher in Northern Virginia.  With over a decade of experience teaching voice and piano, she specializes in both classical and contemporary styles.  Christina holds undergraduate degrees in Television/Radio/Film and Music and a graduate degree in Music Education from Syracuse University.  

Christina recently accepted a new position as a Music Specialist at Bailey’s Upper ES, a magnet school for the arts and sciences.  She was formerly the Choral Director at West Potomac HS and the Chorus/Guitar Instructor at Key MS in Fairfax County. She has extensive opportunities teaching ages 5-adult both privately and in the choral setting.  She enjoys working with students who have special needs to facilitate musical expression.  Christina is also a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and teaches yoga classes to performers, athletes, and students. 

Christina actively keeps up with professional development and has completed workshops with world-renown voice specialists.  She received the 2018 Joan Frey Boytim Award for the Independent Teachers.

Christina is certified in all levels of  Somatic Voicework The LoVetri Method ™, and is recognized as a Distinguished Voice Professional by the New York State Singing Teachers Association, is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and The Virginia Music Educators Association.  Christina has specialized training in social-emotional learning from the Greater Good Institute for Educators at Berkeley. 

She music directed shows at various FCPS Middle Schools and at Robinson High School. As a performer, Christina has extensive experience as a church musician and has performed in many musicals.  Christina also appeared on the stage of Blues Alley in Georgetown and on the stage of the Little Theatre of Alexandria.  

Christina has worked with hundreds of students, some of who have earned lead roles in musicals, been accepted in the Governor’s School, Interlochen, and who have gone on to study and perform music professionally.

In her free time, Christina enjoys Crossfit, yoga, photography, travel, and salsa/swing dancing.  Christina also has experience taking elementary – high school students abroad and is a former karate instructor.
